What is direct primary care?
Direct primary care, or DPC, is a modernized approach to healthcare. Patients pay a fixed monthly membership fee for unlimited access to the services provided at Piedmont DPC. Because we do not bill insurance, we are free from insurance-related restrictions around care, such as costly copayments and limits on what can be covered during a visit. The membership model also enables practice size to stay small, allowing for same-day or next-day appointments and more face time with your doctor.
Meet Dr. Sharon Diamond-Myrsten
Dr. Sharon Diamond-Myrsten, MD, FAAFP (she/her) is a board-certified family physician who has served patients in the central Virginia area since 2004. Dr. Diamond has experience working in a variety of settings, from seeing patients at community health clinics to serving as a faculty member at the University of Virginia. In every healthcare setting, she values the patient experience and prioritizes face-to-face time that allows her to listen to her patients' concerns and collaborate with them on a personalized treatment plan.
